Gabriel Thy - Washington, DC & Wheeling, WV

Gabriel Thy is a self-taught painter and digital artist. His work is being shown in galleries in Washington, LA, and Egypt. His manuscript—The Silent Cull and Other Mechanical Ideas, Collected Poems 1980-2005—is in production and will be out late this year. Performing his written work on radio and in local venues over the years, he was included in the 1986 anthology Semiotext (E),#13, the USA issue, which also featured infamous beat writers Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs. In addition to creating video shorts, Gabriel also operates an Internet rock station - Radio Scenewash.

A native of the northern Virginia area, Andy graduated cum laude with his bachelor of Fine Arts at VCU in Richmond, VA. He has been painting since 1983.
